Hot Danish Claims Debut Group 1 Win At All Aged Stakes

The classiest mare in Sydney finally cemented her presitigious title on Saturday, as the Les Bridge-trained Hot Danish claimed her first Group 1 win in the $300,000 Group 1 All Aged Stakes (1400m) on Saturday.

As the Sydney Cup Day culminated the Autumn Racing Carnival at the Royal Randwick Racecourse, females did well on the track, with Hot Danish certainly one of them finally succeeding at the elite level after missing out seven times before.

Melito finished a length behind after giving the winner her toughest competition, and Beaded finished third in her first Group 1 race.

Also taking place on Saturday was the Group 1 Sydney Cup (3200m), the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) and the Group 1 Champagne Stakes (1600m).
