Thirteen runners have been included in nominations for the 2016 Group 1 All Aged Stakes (1400m); highlighted by the pending appearance of some of the Autumn Carnival’s most exciting horses at Royal Randwick on Saturday.
Black Heart Bart has undoubtedly kicked up in class since transferring to the care of Darren Weir and has been included in 2016 All Aged Stakes nominations.
A standout in his native Perth for trainer Vaughn Sigley, Black Heart Bart has posted an impressive eleven wins and nine minors through 28 competitive starts since first appearing on course in late 2013.
Ending his final Perth preparation second in the Group 2 CB Cox Stakes (2100m) on December 19th, the Blackfriars gelding was given little hope of success in the Group 1 Newmarket Handicap (1200m) first-up on March 12th but ran an agonizingly-close second to The Quarterback.

A multiple Group 1 winner, Kermadec has posted a number of typically slick results this time but suffered a minor ailment during the running of the Doncaster Mile a fortnight ago and will need to have returned to peak form to compete on Saturday.
Running on for third in the Group 1 Canterbury Stakes (1300m) first-up on March 5th, the son of Teofilo ran on for a close second behind Winx in the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) leading into the Doncaster Mile.
Press Statement is also a multiple Group 1 winner and will carry strong, fresh form into the All Aged Stakes.
Capping a standout 2015 campaign with success in the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m), the Hinchinbrook colt resumed this time for success in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m) in early February.
Running a close second in the Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m), Press Statement has not been seen at the races since boxing on for third in the George Ryder Stakes.
Our Boy Malachi has competed well without setting the racing industry alight this time, and will be offered another opportunity to post a maiden win at the highest level this weekend after being included in 2016 All Aged Stakes nominations.
An impressive performer through his entire racing career so far, Our Boy Malachi resumed this time for success in the Group 2 Expressway Stakes (1200m); progressing to fifth in the Canterbury Stakes before running fourth in the Group 1 TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) on Day 1 of The Championships.
The 2016 All Aged Stakes field and barrier draw is due to be completed and released by midday, Wednesday.
